What a fantastic way to end our Getting Wacky for a Staffie campaign with Push for Pooches.

The walk/push started with 8 supporters at 10am on Bank Holiday Monday 5th April from the Co-op Supermarket in Kidderminster at 10am. The weather was on our side as there was no rain in site and the team were in very high spirits.

Our first stage took us into Bewdley and most of the walk was down hill and the pavements were good, we reached Bewdley and stopped for a drink next to the river before we tackled the very steep hill to head for Far Forest.

At Far Forest the first stage of the push was completed and 3 of the walkers finished there leaving just 5 to complete the next 9 miles of the route. The pavements were very small and full of lumps, bumps and sticks which meant it was very hard work to keep the trolleys going and not tip over. It was great to see so many well wishes along the route and they kept up moving. We also received a lot of donations along the way.

It was 4.30pm belore we reached our finishing point and it couldn't come quick enough, with so many steep hills along the way it seem an impossible task to finish but the team were not going to let it beat them.

We were welcomed by a small crowd of kennel staff and locals at the finish point at Birch Hill Kennels and there was a great atmosphere. We collected over £200 of dog food, toys and treats and so far we have received over £140 in sponsorship and we are still collecting.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the fantastic walkers and to the Co-op store in Kidderminster for the loan of the trolleys.
