 8 year old Missy returned from the vet on Thursday 22nd October 2009 after having three hours of surgery
to remove eleven lumps. Although very drowsy she insisted on staying awake to watch the world go by on the way home (in the
front seat of the car). Kennel staff have now nicknamed her the "little patch work quilt" as she has
been shaved in many areas on her body.
A very large lump had to be removed from her leg and this was deeper
than vets had hoped so a lot of tissue had to be removed. This has left her with a very large scar on her leg.
Four of the lumps have been sent away for testing and we are awaiting results within the next few days.
So far our vet has indicated that the cost for this procedure is just over £361 and we are hoping that the previous
owner will be willing to make a donation towards this.
